Spinach, ABUNDANT BLOOMSDALE- OSSI
This Spinach has dark green leaves, held upwards for ease of cutting. Savoyed type. The initial cross, Bloomsdale by Evergreen (known for its disease resistance), has been grown and selected through many hands; a project born by collaboration from market gardeners, John Navazio, and the OSA (Organic Seed Alliance). The breeding project was started at Abundant Life Farm, hence the name. Here, we grow it from a spring sowing as our success with fall-sown spinach is not always great depending on the type of winter we get. An Open Source Spinach Variety!

Seed Starting
Direct seeded in early spring or late summer for a fall harvest; they’re often said to be at their peak flavor when temperatures are cooler.
