Cucumber (Pickling) SOMMET INTERNATIONAL mix
Produced through a 2021 first gathering together of seven Pickling cukes, insect-pollinated participants came from diverse countries and regions, mainly France, Ukraine, Germany and the USA. I’ve added more than ten eastern European varieties to the mix, then grew the result together again in 2024. This mix is ever-evolving and may include newly trialed varieties. Welcome, diversity. Abundant flowers provide good bee forage, as cucumber flower nectar is known to contain about 50% sugars! A bonus for pollinators! Get your pickling/fermenting materials ready - or simply use fresh! On the way of becoming my new favourite.
